Brunel Quays is the proud winner of 5 prestigious awards including Best Building in Devon and Cornwall. The development is located on the banks of the River Fowey in the heart of the ancient town of Lostwithiel and the last phase, the Old Carriageworks ,was completed and opened by MP Sherryl Murray in October 2011. The original 51 dwellings were completed in 2005 and the majority were sold off plan such was the demand.
The project regenerated the old Victorian railway buildings and added some new architecture reflecting the acclaimed existing Brunel structures, combined with riverside landscaping thus capturing the picturesque disposition of the area.
Stone faced walls, brick quoin dressings unified with granite lintels and plinths have created a striking outlook : roofs complete with skylight windows mimic the industrial roof ventilation methods and blend with the treetops. Hi-spec lift systems, central heating with thermal insulation, triple glaze windows and satellite connections bring these industrial Victorian buildings into the 21st century.
The whole development lies within landscaped ground and being right on the riverside there are moorings to rent.
